NOTE: CPR must be updated every 12 months
This course provides participants with the confidence and competence required to perform CPR on an unconscious casualty. This training course is designed for any person whom may need to perform CPR to utilise DRSABCD during the course of their employment.
This training course is taught according to the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) guidelines. This training course takes personnel through both the theory of why we do CPR and many practical exercises that emphasise the ‘how’ we perform CPR.
• Conduct DRSABCD
• Provide CPR on adults, children and babies
• Roll patient into recovery position
• Handover to Medical personnel
• Manage a choking patient
Duration: Completing 3 hours full face to face training and assessment and workplace practical tasks
Assessments: Assessments conducted during face to face training session(s) include both practical tasks/scenarios and written theory assessments.
Assessment requirements: It is a training package requirement of this course that you are physically capable of performing uninterrupted CPR for at least 2 minutes on a CPR Manikin placed on the floor
